Greetings! I hope your child's school year is off to a great start! I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Makesha P. Jackson and I am your child's School Counselor (Guidance Counselor) here at Lucy T. Davis Elementary. My office is located on the left as you enter the main entrance across from the Main Office (please notify them first).
Throughout the year, I look forward to meeting our new Lucy T. Davis Owls and of course, reconnecting with our previous students. I will introduce myself, and share with them what I can do for them as their School Counselor. As a part of the Character Education Program here at LTD, I provide guidance lessons in hopes that all students will navigate successfully in life. These lessons focus on various life skills needed to succeed in school and life. Some of these subject include, but are not limited to: Making/Keeping Friends, Study Skills, Following Rules, School Awareness, Teamwork, Conflict Resolution, Sharing, Decision Making, Peer Relation, Bullying, and much more.
I am available for individual, small group and educational counseling. Parents and teachers can make referrals to me if they feel there is a need. Students may also self-refer.
